Support policy

Our goal at alteredCart is to provide the best support, best customer service, and to have every customer extremely happy with the quality, value and service they receive.

Upgrades to alteredCart products on the version of X-Cart your license is for are always free. You can login and download the latest version here at your account page. If you prefer to have the free upgrade installed by alteredCart the standard installation fee applies. You can order upgrades here .

If you need to upgrade from one version of X-Cart to the next you must purchase the upgrades and can do so here . Upgrades are heavily discounted off of the original retail price.

Software is guaranteed for the time of two years from its issue date. Issues arising after this period are not guaranteed to be fixed under warranty.

If you require an onsite investigation, fix, or other time consuming work on your web site not related to an issue with the alteredCart modules, this will be billed as custom work. For example, if another 3rd party customizes your cart breaking the alteredCart module, or installs a skin overwriting the alteredCart files, this isn’t covered under your software warranty and would be billed hourly as custom work. In instances such as these you will always be notified if any work would be considered beyond the responsibility of basic tech support and can approve or decline the work before it begins.
